Your Governors

Becky Regan - Chair of Governors

I have been a Parent Governor since 2015 at St Chads  and I am currently Vice Chair of Governors. I am a mum of 2 (Daniel and Grace) who both love attending St Chads . I work for Eurocamp/Al fresco holidays as a Project Manager and hope that my professional skills and knowledge will help to support the school achieve its vision.

In my spare time I enjoy helping the Friends of St Chads raise funds to support the school which recently among other projects has supported the introduction of a sensory garden.

Jill Horner - Vice Chair of Governors

I was appointed a Foundation Governor in November 2016.  My background in work based learning and Human Resources has equipped me with an understanding of learning and progress, assessment and achievement, as well as first-hand experience of Ofsted!  Im a committed Christian and active member of St Chads Church and for the last few years have helped when children visit the Church.

I have a passion for literacy and numeracy and volunteer in school, helping with reading and maths.  My governor links include EYFS, Nursery and year 2.

Todd Hewitt - Co-Opted Governor

I am a Teacher of Science at the Winsford Academy secondary school. I joined St Chad's governing body as a Co-opted Governor in October 2021. I bring experience of working on two governing bodies previously: once as a trustee for a charity and the other as a governor for the University of Salford. I am keen to support St Chad's many ways and hope my experience as a Teacher of Science and my ability to act as a link between Winsford Academy and the school will add to the the governing body.

I am a keen mountain climber and naturalist, and I am eager to support the governing body, staff, and students of St Chad's."

Lucy Kennerley - Parent Governor

I became a parent governor in 2022 because I am passionate about all children's education and wellbeing.  I have a child called William in year 2 - you'll see me on the playground at most school drop off and pick up times.

I am also a parent carer representative for the Parent Carer Forum in CWAC raising voices and working with the Local Authority to help improve services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

My current governor links are with Early Years. I have governor training in SEND, Pupil Premium, safeguarding and continuing professional development in evaluating leadership.

Rev Callum- Foundation Governor

As vicar of the parish of Over, St. Chad, I became an Ex-Officio Foundation Governor of St, Chad’s School in May 2022.

Prior to ordination I was in business, working in an IT support firm in South Manchester for 34 years.

Starting as an apprentice at 16, I worked through the ranks, eventually running the firm as its Managing Director for a number of years.

As a school governor I am keen to help the children and staff flourish and fulfil their potential. Helping them understand that each one of us is a deeply loved unique child of God who have been created in his image, and each having been given gifts and talents to be used to help us flourish, but equally important to help those around us flourish too as we grow together in community.

I visit school weekly and take assemblies, I also love to welcome the children into church, either for festival services such as Easter, Harvest and Christmas, or more informal class visits to assist with their learning about faith and RE.

It’s my hope that during their time at St. Chad’s, alongside getting an excellent education, the children will learn enough about the Christian faith and way of life, that they can decide if they want to follow Jesus themselves.
