Your Governors

Aleta Steele - Chair of Governors

I am delighted to have been a Governor at St Chads since 2013, when I was appointed by the Local Authority to support the School. I am now a co-opted governor. My day job is as Senior Locality Manager for Cheshire West and Chester Council.  This job means I have excellent local partnership links which I use to support the school to achieve its ambitious plans for your children.   I have worked in Winsford since summer 2012 and am based in Wyvern House.  I went to school in Nantwich, and have lived in Wybunbury with my family for the last 20 years.

Becky Regan - Vice Chair of Governors

I have been a Parent Governor since 2015 at St Chads  and I am currently Vice Chair of Governors. I am a mum of 2 (Daniel and Grace) who both love attending St Chads . I work for Eurocamp/Al fresco holidays as a Project Manager and hope that my professional skills and knowledge will help to support the school achieve its vision.

In my spare time I enjoy helping the Friends of St Chads raise funds to support the school which recently among other projects has supported the introduction of a sensory garden.

Jill Horner

My background in work based learning and Human Resources has equipped me with an understanding of learning and progress, assessment and achievement, as well as first-hand experience of Ofsted!  I’m a committed Christian and active member of St Chad’s Church and for the last few years have helped when children visit the Church.

I have a passion for literacy and numeracy and volunteer in school, helping with reading (at present with the children in Reception) and maths (times tables with some of year 6).  I have also been involved in the Arts and Crafts after school club.

My links as Governor are with Year 2 and all things relating to English!  In between all this, I am just starting to learn more about the Makaton signing language.

Jane Hough

I joined St. Chad’s C of E in 2013 after 5 years of teaching at an Outstanding Nursery and Primary School in Liverpool. I was elected as Staff Governor in 2014. I have taught in KS1, however, my teaching specialism is focused upon early years education. In September 2017 I was delighted to help SLT and Governors, open up a Nursery class within the school and it is a pleasure to see it thriving.

I am thoroughly committed to providing the best education, opportunities and experiences for children, families and the local community.

Katie Murray

I joined the governing body at St Chad's in October 2017 and have thoroughly enjoyed being welcomed into the whole school community. I have a 4-year-old son, Daniel, who joined the Reception class in September and I am thrilled that he is amongst so many inspiring teachers and pupils at the start of his learning journey.

I work in marketing at Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College and I hope that my skills and experience will make a positive contribution towards the school achieving its main aims.

Reverend Chris Moore

Serving the whole school community is a rewarding and fulfilling part of my role as a Foundation Governor and Vicar of St Chad’s Church. I have been in both posts since December 2016 and continue to be amazed at the enthusiasm and creativity of the children, and the passion and dedication of all the staff at this school.

I am married with one son, and have come into church life from a career in business. St Chad’s Church is my first parish appointment and I am proud to be associated with a school with such a distinct Christian ethos, and where there are such active and growing links between school and church.

I'm Claire Webster, new to St Chad's governing body this year. I am currently working as an Assistant Headteacher at Hartford Church of England High School. I have been a maths teacher for over 20 years. I am a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and have worked on projects for Nottingham Trent University and the Office for National Statistics. I also worked in South Africa in 2003 helping them develop a new maths curriculum.

I am mum to Alice (11) and Jack (8) and in my spare time enjoy rowing, canoeing and biking. I am very much looking forward to supporting the governing body, staff and pupils of St Chads.

Hannah Robson

I have recently been appointed as a parent governor at St Chad's.

I have two children that attend St Chad's School one in KS1 and one in KS2.

I have lived in Winsford all my life and attended St Chad's School myself. Like any parent or guardian I want the best education for my children and I am committed to supporting the whole school family to provide the best learning environment and opportunities for all the children of St Chad's School. I will be presenting views of a parent in all aspects of current and future decisions within the school.
