Homework Expectations
Homework is given out every Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
Along with their homework, children are expected to read at least three times per week and it is to be recorded on the 'Boom Reader' app.
P.E.
Our P.E. lessons take place on Tuesday (Gymnastics) and Friday (Health Related Exercise).
Children should wear their P.E. kit to school on these days.
Year 5 Curriculum long term plan
Reading is taught daily using the Steps to Read programme.
We are also really enjoying our current class novel There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom by Louis Sachar.
In literacy, we have done a wide range of writing activities based around the book King Kong by Anthony Browne.
