Routines in Year 5

Our school day starts at 8:50am and ends at 3:10pm. Please ensure that you are at school on time every morning.

The children do not need to bring a school bag with them to school, they will only need to bring their lunch box, water bottle, coat and reading diary.  Please remember to bring your plastic wallet with your reading diary in each day.

Your PE day is Friday

On PE and Forest School days, please come to school in your kit.

Homework will be set on Seesaw every Wednesday and should be completed and uploaded by the following Monday. Spellings will also be set on Seesaw every Monday for the following Friday. The children will recieve a login for Spelling Shed which they can practise their spellings using games and activities. Children should continue to read 5 times a week and reading diaries should be in signed and in school everyday.

This year, Year 5 are incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument with the tutors at Edsential First Access Music. As the children are learning more notes and new songs, they will be able to take their musical instrument home so that they can practise between lessons. When the children begin taking instruments home, it's really important that they remember to bring them into school every Tuesday for our lessons. Unfortunately if a child forgets their instrument, they will not be able to join in with the lesson that week so please do try to remember.
