Our teacher is Mrs Hardy and our teaching assistant is Mrs Plumb.
Year 6 start school at 8.50am and finish at 3.10pm.

Homework Expectations
Given out | Due in |
Every Thursday | The following Tuesday |
Homework is given out every Thursday and is due in the following Tuesday. Homework either SPaG (spelling, grammar and punctuation), maths fluency (what the children have been focusing on that week/ revision of formal methods) or reading comprehension. These three areas are rotated.
Reading
Along with their homework, children are expected to read at least three times per week and it is to be recorded on the 'Boom Reader' app.
P.E
Our P.E. lessons take place on Monday when the class will be taking part Health Related Exercise and also on Friday when we will learning football skills.
Children should wear their PE kit to school on these days.

Our class novel this term is, 'Good Night Mr Tom'.
We are focusing on 'Conflict through Time', specifically WW2 this term, where we will be thinking about the question, 'Why did Britain enter two world wars?'
We will be reading, 'Star of Fear, Star of Hope' in our English lessons and will create our narrative that contains a flashback. Through these books, we will be exploring what life was like for two girls in German occupied Northern France during WW2. In Maths this term, our learning will focus on Fractions and Units of Measure . In our Science lessons, we be learning about electricity. For R.E. we will be thinknig about, 'What are the similarities and differences between Christianity locally and globally?''.
