Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At St.Chad's we believe that all children are entitled to an education which meets their individual needs, where inclusivity underpins our practices.
We follow the Cheshire West and Chester (CWAC) approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and are supported by CWAC to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
All CWAC schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.
Following The Code of Practice (2014) we rcognise the 4 main areas of Special Educational Need as:
- Cognition and Learning
- Sensory and/or Physical
- Communication and Interaction
- Emotional, Social and Mental Health Difficulties
