2019 Palm Oil Project

We read this text to the children and created our own whole school 'Wonder Garden.'

Over time we slowly began to destroy the wonder garden. We stuck litter to the walls, created a palm oil plantation where the rainforest once was and spray painted over thier work. We linked this to how human activity is destorying our planet.

2018 Ignite Sing for Songbirds Project

We worked as part of the Chester Zoo, Ignite project delivered across schools in Cheshire. We received training as staff on the enquiry curriculum and developed our skill set. The children received workshops from the keepers at Chester Zoo both in school and on our whole school visit to the zoo. We intertwined all of our learning about the dangers the songbirds in Indonesia face and the consequences our activity as humans was having. We presented all of our learning in a showcase in our school hall. We invited all of our school community to help spread the message about the endangered songbirds and the impact humanity was having on wildlife.
