I’m Catherine Speed, the Headteacher of St. Chad’s CE Primary. I am delighted you have taken the time to learn more about our wonderful school.
St Chad’s Church of England Primary School truly is a family school and I hope that through this website you will begin to feel a little of that family ethos. Our Christian values along with our high expectations for all underpin the calm and purposeful atmosphere within our school. We are proud to be judged as ‘Outstanding’ by SIAMS.
We believe all children should have a future full of hope at St Chad’s and we strive for every member of our school family to succeed and flourish with us. This was recognised in our February 2023 inspection which judged St Chad’s to be good in all areas and a school which is welcoming and ambitious for all children.
We want our children to be confident individuals who embrace challenge, think creatively, value achievement and strive to be the best they can be. We encourage each of our learners to take time to actively contribute to our community and to support others.
Our children love their school and thrive. They enjoy roasting marshmallows over a fire in the outdoor classroom, playing a range of musical instruments, sharing their learning in their beautiful books and growing plants in our allotment. We aim to provide our children with a primary education they will always remember and treasure.
