What to do if you are concerned about your child.
If you are worried about your child in anyway, please make an appointment with the class teacher to discuss your concern. We always have an ‘open door’ policy to help in anyway.
Should the class teacher need advice on matters raised, they will speak to Mrs Hunter, the SENCo. A meeting between the class teacher, SENCo and yourself may be arranged to discuss further actions.

About our school
At St Chad’s we follow the Cheshire West and Chester (CWAC) approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and are supported by CWAC to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
All CWAC schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.
Following The Code of Practice (2014) we recognise the 4 main areas of Special Educational Need as:
- Cognition and Learning
- Sensory and/or Physical
- Communication and Interaction
- Emotional, Social and Mental Health Difficulties
What is the Live Well Website?
Live Well Cheshire West is a new website which has replaced the Local Offer. It will help you find local services, support, activities and events for residents in Cheshire West including children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), young people, families and adults. https://livewell.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/
The site is run jointly by Cheshire West and Chester Council and local NHS partners as part of the Cheshire West Integrated Care Partnership.
