Attendance

At St Chad’s C of E Primary and Nursery School we believe that good attendance is essential for pupils to take full advantage of the school and to gain the appropriate skills which will equip them for life.  When your child is absent from school he or she misses the teaching provided on the days when absent, and on their return are also less prepared for the lessons building on that teaching.  There is a consequent risk of underachievement when absence is high, which the school and parents both wish to avoid.  We do accept that there may be occasions when a child has to miss school – for example, if unwell; however any other absences should be kept to an absolute minimim.  If your child is absent, please contact the school on 01606 663683 on the morning of their first day of absence.

IF YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE IS ABOVE 96% YOU ARE GIVING YOUR CHILD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE AND SUCCEED

Did you know 90% attendance means 4 WHOLE WEEKS off school!

If your child is 5 minutes late each day they lose 3 school days!

YEAR 3 HAD THE HIGHEST ATTENDANCE THIS WEEK WITH 98.95% (up to and including 07/07/2023)
